Ladies help on this

So if I don’t want my kid anymore , and I want her to go into adoption but her father is not collaborating in giving her to adoption . Should I call CPS and give up on my parental rights ? Her father is abusive and threatened to try to kill her multiple times .... I know one of the ladies in here told me to give a call to CPS and sign away my parental rights before but how does that work ?
