Belly sleeping?

Question

I've heard you're not allowed to lay on your back. I usually can only get comfy (now a days) on my side with my leg all the way out so sometimes in leanin a little on my belly. Is it okay to lay like that aslong as your belly isn't hurting? It's a dumb question but every time I lay comfy the baby kicks where my belly is on the bed idk if he is like mom you're squishing me or what... But my legs usually take the pressure off my belly??

I'm pretty certain that babies just kick in response to pressure sometimes. I really really don't think it's a pain response. They don't work that way in utero- or after birth, if you think about it.

I'm 28weeks and I still sleep on my back with no problem. I usually fall asleep on my side, but 98% of the time I always sleep on my back. As long as your comfortable, then it's fine.

You'll hurt yourself long before you cause harm to the baby. I still sleep on my back a little each night, and will sometimes lay on my tummy. Baby is very much protected in there, and as long as your lower extremities are not falling asleep you're not cutting off any oxygen.

Maybe try a pregnancy pillow? Or maybe a regular pillow proper under you to rotate you so you get the same feeling without actually being on your belly? I'm a totally belly sleeper and found that the pregnancy pillows really helped me rotate and "keep" me on my side comfortably.

I do sleep like that and baby kicks but i don't know if it's a problem. I see my doctor tomorrow and will ask him. You should call yours too.
