My first postpartum period finally came back...
I'm breastfeeding, baby is now 8 months. I was dreading my period coming back. My periods have always been terrible, sometimes causing me to throw up, very painful the first couple days, very heavy, and lasting 6-8 days. It's been such a nice break not dealing with that.
First period postpartum just ended, and I think having a baby FIXED my period! It was only 4 days, the first two days were medium flow and the second two were probably so light that I could've just used liners! All I had in the house were pads, since I had some left over from postpartum healing and hadn't bought tampons yet since I didn't know when it would come back. I used to be able to soak through a pad in 3-4 hours, and now? I probably could have gone 8 hours between changing the first two days, and ALL DAY for day 3 and 4 (obviously I changed them more than that, but that's just an estimate on how long it would have taken to fill them).
I am overjoyed. Also, very little cramping and pain. No breast soreness. No moodiness. It's like a dream. Lol
I didn't expect my period to change after childbirth, anyone else have this happen to them?
