Significant others and babies ?

Does anyone else have a SO who doesnt seem so involved with anything? We're having our first baby and he only seems into it or excited when other people are around. I've asked him multiple times for opinions on things because this is his child too and I want him to have choices with things but all he says is "i don't know." Or "I dont care." He hasnt done anything, wont buy anything, wont look at things ect.. Is it normal for some men ? Will he be more involved when the baby is actually here ? Or should I be worried. I've talked to him about this multiple times and nothings changed.
