Bleeding week after d&c

I had a d&c a week and a half ago. I never bled or even really cramped afterwards. I barely spotted for a couple days after but not even enough for a pad. Tonight at work I started feeling light cramps and when I got home I noticed I was bleeding. Still just a little heavier than spotting but it basically feels like a normal period starting. Could I just be starting a “period” because of my hormones dropping? Anybody else have experience?
