Getting back out there

So, I broke up with my first boyfriend a few months ago. I’m 19 and I want to move on and start dating again, and the only real way I know to do that is dating apps. I’m fairly shy and I’ve never been able to meet someone in person. But my ex has a lot of friends on those apps, so I’ve been reluctant to go back into there.

Should I just do it? Should I just wait for it to happen in person? Or any other advice?
