Membrane stripping?

Hey everyone so I’m actually Due April 30 and yes I’m veryyyy exhausted and I’m still at work bc I work at a middle school but now my feet and hands are so swollen I can barley walk. 😭 I’m not trying to complain bc I know she’ll come when she’s ready but tomorrow I hit 38wks and on Thursday I have an appointment and I’m really considering membrane stripping. What do you all think?

I’m expecting #7 and still working as well, and it’s so exhausting. I’ve had sweeps done but they’ve never worked for me just caused a lot of pain and discomfort so I will decline if my doctor offers again, but talk to your doctor and decide what’s best for you! Good luck 🙏

Membrane stripping worked for me! I gave birth at 39 weeks. In the end, I was happy and disappointed about it at the same time. 
My water started leaking and contractions started about 36 hrs later and my daughter was born about 48 hours later. 
Because my water was leaking and I wasn’t dilating quickly enough, I had to be induced to prevent any sort of infection. With the pitocin, I took the epidural because my contractions were unbearable. 
I felt disappointed because I feel like my body was not ready to give birth yet- I wanted to give birth naturally and I felt like I could have if I let me and my baby take our time.

I'm getting mine done at 38W3D. 
It's a 50/50. If your body is ready for labor it will work, if your body isn't then it won't work. 
Most people say it hurts like hell, i believe its different for everyone. I had one done during my induction and didn't feel a damn thing at all. If you do choose to get one, make sure you have the next couple days off as it can cause bleeding and cramps and possibly labor!

Getting mine done this Thursday at 37&4 . I had a successful one last year with my daughter and I’m already dilated 3 and thinned out . I would highly recommend getting one :)

I’m getting stretch and sweeps starting at 38 weeks! And then will be getting them every 48 hrs starting at 39 weeks. We are trying to avoid medical induction at all costs due to some health issues I have. I either need to go into labor completely naturally and have a natural vagina birth or I’ll have to have a c section under general anesthesia again. So we are really trying to avoid that.
