Carrier vs convertible?

So I’m pregnant with baby number three and really debating on a carrier or convertible cat seat. 
For my two older ones we went straight to the convertible since I didn’t really feel the need to have a carrier but with this one and having older kids, I feel like it might be a better idea but I’m not sure. I know that eventually we will need to upgrade so I’m kind of torn.

I would just invest in a good wearable carrier like a Lillebaby or a baby KTan (those are the two I have but lots of others are good!) to put baby in when getting out of the car seat. That way you still have one hand for each of your older kids. I only have one so far but I’ve been using a convertible seat and I just end up doing lots of baby wearing which I love!

I regret not getting a convertible. My daughter is only two months and I can barely carry her in her infant seat and I feel it’s much harder to get her out of it in the car than a convertible would be. There’s some you can get where it’s the only seat you will ever have to buy and I WISH I would’ve done that

My kids are 6&5 years old and I’ll have my baby in September I’m going straight to a convertible car seat and just use a carrier. Regular car seats are just big and heavy I personally rather use my carrier. Maybe look into a carrier.
