Tummy-Time?

Question

Has anybody else's LO's had any trouble with tummy-time? My daughter just hit 5months old and has never liked doing tummy time; looking for some advice/tips/suggestions/comments (LOL). I have tile floor so I've either set her up on my bed or a yoga mat laying tummy down with her arms over a nursing pillow (1 of those half moon shaped ones, i cant think of the name atm). She'll lay on her back and play but only lasts about 6/7 mns before she gets upset😔

Look up Can Do Kiddo. She has a lot of resources about tummy time and tons of other helpful baby stuff. I think you’re doing fantastic. My baby fussed in tummy time up until he got decent at army crawling (8/9 months) so it’s not like once they get head control they love it.

Most babies only tolerate tummy time for about 5 minutes.  My LO just rolls over when she’s done even if I prop her up on a pillow 😂

We have wood floors. We were using his activity mat but he didn’t like it. We don’t have an area rug so on a whim I decided to see what he’d do on a bath mat rug and he seems to like it. I think he likes grabbing the carpet material and it’s soft and warmer than his activity mat.

Most babies hate tummy time. You aren't doing anything wrong and your baby isn't weird. 😀 Just do it a few times a day until your baby starts fussing and that's plenty. I didn't do tummy time very often with my 3 and they all sat up, crawled, and walked within the normal range. Don't overthink it. It isn't a huge deal.
