When did you tell your family?

I have my first doctor appointment scheduled in 2 weeks....but will be with my whole family Sunday for Easter...is it too early to announce to my family and my husbands family? I am only 5 weeks along and haven’t seen a doctor since taking the at home test. We’ve been t.t.c since July so are very excited!

We told our family at 4 weeks, 4 days after confirmed blood test just because we were seeing everyone together plus my husbands grandmother is sick and we really wanted to make sure she knows. We thought about waiting but figured it’d be best to have a strong support system god forbid anything happens. I’ll wait until after my first ultrasound to tell the rest of the family in about 4 weeks!

I have ever been pregnant yet but when I do I know I will have to tell people right away unless I stay home for the first 13 weeks because if we are out and I don’t have a drink all will know. Plus my best friend always said she told right away with her 3 because of something bad did happen then she had a whole support group vs just being sad alone.

We told our parents and a few VERY close friends right when we found out, knowing I was comfortable telling them about the loss if it happened.

If you want to tell them, go for it. 
They always say to wait 10-12 weeks to make sure everything continues as planned. I’ve had friends miscarry and it’s always sad to now have to tell everyone what happened.

We told at 3 weeks 4 days lol the day I took the test. Now I’m 9 weeks.

I told my mom right away, and my grandma since she was really sick and I didn't want to risk her passing away and not knowing. My husband and I decided not to tell anyone in his family till 15 weeks. Mostly because they arent very supportive (except his dad and step mom).
