Shaving/waxing down below before birth

Hi all bit of a random question.

Did anyone shave or wax down below before delivery and did it make a difference to healing etc. I have heard infection is more likely if your clean shaved, however I can’t imagine in my head needing stitches & them healing great if it’s like a forest down there. Especially with all the bleeding etc after. Opinions please?!
