Washing baby clothes?

Do you wash the clothes before they wear them? I don’t want to take the tags off anything just in case my little princess comes out a little prince or doesn’t fit in the new born clothes. I do plan on taking a couple gender neutral outfits along with pretty little girl outfits.

Yes but wash what you need, then wash the rest later when baby needs them

Speaking as someone who has worked in warehouses that sell clothes; please, PLEASE wash before you put them on your baby.
Most clothes will sit in storage for several months before shipping out, contained in no more than cardboard boxes.
You dont know where that box came from before storage, you don't know how it was stored, you dont know how it was shipped, and you really dont know who has handled them before you.
If you are super worried your little will be born the opposite gender, wash 5 outfits, 3 gender neutral and 2 for a boy/girl.
You should never wear new clothes before washing them, babies especially(:

Yes. In fact, you should wash everything, for everyone, before wearing or using. Many clothes, towels, etc even say right on the tag “wash before use”. They use some pretty harsh chemicals in the manufacturing process, and your skin can absorb that.

It's best you wash them I used to work in a store and even the it comes in plastics inside boxes but still is good to wash all of it blankets and all because it's all shipped from different place when we used to get the clothes in the boxes at times there would be dust and all sorts of stuff but the clothes would be ok cause it would have plastic covering it but it truly is best u wash it

I washed everything, but I noticed in the hospital they opened a new halo sleep sack to give to my baby and they didn’t wash it first. So maybe it’s not a huge deal

I washed the smallest sizes, and made sure I didn't wash too many of any one size. The other items i left tags on.

Yes absolutely. Stores spray baby clothes with chemicals so they look better for selling.
