Injections Question

I am new to injections after multiple failed IUI and Clomid/Femara rounds. They are wanting to do Gonal-F next time which will be our last time. I’ve called and got some pricing and was told just to come in CD 3 for baseline ultrasound (like normal). Can anyone tell me what it’s like as far as follow up before IUI? I’ve heard it’s a lot more close monitoring but not sure how frequent they usually do it, how many days you do the injections, or if you ovulate sooner with this? I asked nurse at RE and she just had said “we take it day by day” 😕 kind of wanting ideas so I can tell work as well.
