Contractions?

Hi, I'm 37+1 weeks pregnant. I've been experiencing contractions for the last 5 or so hours. They don't seem to be getting any stronger or sooner but I definitely know they're not Braxton hicks. I'm not able to sleep through them at all and they are pretty regular, I'd say around 7 minutes apart. I've phoned the delivery suite and they said to wait until they're more intense. How long does this usually take? Does this sound normal?
