Anemia in 1st trimester

Anyone else diagnosed with anemia? I had definitely been tired lately.. (to be expected) and had a few dizzy spells (thought it was blood sugar), but the past couple weeks my allergies started acting up and I’ve had a hard time breathing. I just blamed it on the stuffiness.. but apparently I’m anemic. Doc said it’s normal and prescribed some iron, but everything I’ve read said that it’s normal in the 2nd & 3rd trimesters and anemia in the 1st could be an issue. Any thoughts?
