Copper IUD: still cramping after 6 months

I got my IUD on November 6th 2018 and am still getting cramps all through the month (quite a bit worse on my period but still.) I'd rate the mid cycle ones 2-4 on the pain scale depending on the day. Like it's not as bad or as constant as the first couple of months but enough that I am aware and kind of uncomfortable because of it with no real change from about month 3 or 4 . It's not every day but it can be more often than not. Like I said before, it varies.

When I mentioned it at my scheduled checkup i was more aware of it leading up to my period which I was told was normal because of my uterus contracting post-ovulation (which is still an extra 2 weeks of cramps on top of my period itself)

I'm wondering if this is something I should get checked out now or wait a while to see if my body is still getting used to it?
