Anna Adelaide is here 7lbs 9 oz, 19"
Induction was rough. I went through 12 hours of pitocin that caused contractions but no cervical change ( I was at 3cm when we began). The Dr said it was due to cervical scarring from my first baby. They decided to do a mechanical dilation with a foley bulb overnight. Between that and my own contractions (no pitocin) that night, I was between. 7 & 8 cm when they checked me at 6:30 am. They broke my water and restarted pitocin. I labored hard until 9cm (about 4 hours) when I decided to get an epidural after all ( body was exhausted from the day before). Two hours later, it was time to push. I pushed through 3 sets of contractions, and she popped right out. I didn't tear at all this time and recovery has been much better! It was a long hard pregnancy filled with heparin shots , multiple episodes of preterm labor, 10 weeks of bedrest and procardia, and one long induction...but she is here, healthy , beautiful and worth it. Thank you for your support along the way!
