Working after giving birth?

Hi ladies. I am 15 weeks and I have been thinking like crazy about working after I give birth. My husband and I live in NYC and it's so hard to live by just one income. I plan on taking 4 weeks off then starting work again. (I work as a babysitter now and will have to find a new job 😕) What are your plans to start work after baby is born??

I have to look for a new job. But in Canada mat leave is a year, so I have time.

Going back to work after 6 weeks my job won't let me go back without a doctor's note and because I will be having a c section my doctor won't let me go back to work till after my 6 weeks check up

I'm self-employed and make more than my husband. I'll definitely need and want to return to work. Just not sure when. We are moving a couple of months after our baby is born, which will complicate things. I am looking into ways to work from home. Maybe you can nanny or babysit for a family that is ok with your baby being there?
