Hair Dye Question

Paige • 27| Married 3 years| Expecting Baby #1 Oct. 2019

So I got the okay to get my hair colored from my doctor. The salon I go to is well-ventilated, I am bringing a face mask just in case it gets too bad, and I let my stylist know up front that I am pregnant.

I will be just a few days shy of 13 weeks when I go. Even though I've been talking to my doctor about it. I continued to do some more research. I discovered that it is recommended that you use ammonia-free hair dye. When I let my stylist know she informed me she does not use ammonia-free hair dye.

from what I gather in my researching, it seems that ammonia is only a problem if you are inhaling it. Again the salon is well-ventilated and I'm going to bring a mask to cover my face.

I know at the end of the day it's my decision, but does everything sound okay with this? Has anyone had any experience using ammonia hair dyes and everything was fine? I really really need to get rid of some Gray's. LOL but I also don't want to risk anything.
