Is this rare or common?

Was told by OB she thinks I have a “very narrow pubic(or pelvic can’t remember) arch”. Anyone else told this? Is it rare or common?

My OB told me it is very rare. About 1 or 2 % of women actually have a pelvis too small to push a baby out.

My pelvis is too narrow. I labored for 27 hours with my son and he wouldn’t come out. His heart rate dropped with every contraction and I eventually needed a c-section. I recently discovered that I have a genetic condition that can cause a more narrow pelvis in women. It is very rare, though.

Yup I was told this with my 2nd pregnancy. My first baby was vaginal and he was 9 lbs. it was very painful but he still made it out lol.
2nd baby measured bigger and my doctor (a different one, 13 years later) said due to my small frame it would pose risks for me to deliver vaginally with a baby this size. I just went with it and got a c-section. Doing more research now, I’ve found that the pelvic size/shape is incredibly rare and significant enough to pose a risk. 
Your body will not produce a baby that is too big for you to push out. C-sections really should be for emergencies to save a mother or baby in a life threatening situation. Or, simply a personal choice if a mother just wants to have one for whatever reason she chooses
