Baby shower advice (long story)

I am having my baby shower next month, and one of my friends volunteered to host a couple months ago, and three other friends are helping her plan/pay for things. Originally I gave her a guest list of about 25 people and she offered to host at her house (which is perfect because she has a large place). Now here’s the drama/problem:

Last week she reached out to me and told me she didn’t want to do it at her house anymore because she didn’t want to clean, cook and that it was more expensive than she’d anticipated. She asked if we could do it at a restaurant instead and have everyone pay their own way. I said I didn’t want to do that because it’s tacky to invite people to a shower and expect that they pay for their food.

I started to get stressed because the invitations need to go out and I don’t have a location to put on them. I started looking into alternative venues for more options and she let me know that she had decided to do it at her house...OUTSIDE. (1) We live on a tropical island where it is 80-90 degrees all day with high humidity. I do not want to be outside for 3 hours, pregnant, sweaty and uncomfortable. I start to feel sick if I’m outside for too long because it is so hot/humid. (2) I imagine my guests also do not want to be outside in the heat for that long (3) Flies will be attracted to the food, especially the desserts and I am worried the desserts will melt in the heat. I asked if she is sure she wants to do it at her place and she said she’ll be anxious no matter where it is (keep in mind that I never asked her to host, she offered).

I’m really not trying to be difficult or ungrateful, but I don’t know how to handle the situation. I love my friend and I’m thankful that she’s offered to host, but I feel incredibly stressed out and like my baby shower is going to be a disaster. I’m starting to wish that she never offered to host and I don’t know what to do. Any advice??
