I miscarried today.

Last night around 10 I started having light spotting and a small clot. Everyone I knew and people on the app told me it was just old blood, so I stopped worrying and went to sleep. Woke up this morning with no signs of bleeding so I went shopping today and as I was shopping I noticed slight cramps in my lower back, but just wrote it off because last night I tossed and turned a lot so I assumed it was from that. Then around 2PM when I got home today when I went to wipe after peeing I noticed a ton of blood on the toilet paper. I immediately got worried and called my mom. My mom told me I should “wait it out and see what happens” but I felt like I needed to be seen. So I called my dr who told me to go to the ER ASAP. Went to the ER and had blood work done, urine sample and a transvaginal ultrasound. My dr had estimated me at 9 weeks, but ultrasound said fetus was at 6 weeks. My gestational sack was too low in my uterus and they couldn’t find a heart beat.

I can’t believe this happened to me. I already have one child so I thought this second pregnancy would be completely normal.
