Transition sleeping

My LO is 2 months. He goes to day care in a week and a half. He will sleep in his crib only half the time during the day, the other times he's on me or in a swing. I try to let him get drowsy with me then put him in the crib, but he sometimes wakes up and won't sleep there. He's going to have to sleep in a crib at day care. How do I transition him to regularly sleeping in his crib and not on me? I love the bonding time (he's sleeping on me now after three tries in the crib) but I don't want him miserable at day care.
