What should happen?

Scrolling through FB and someome shared this petition. The dad is saying that the teacher wrote,
 "Absolutely pathetic he answered 13 in 3 minutes! Sad :("
on his son's math worksheet. If this ends up being true what do you think should happen to the teacher if anything?

If I was to speak to a client this way in my profession, they would fire me. In this case, the children and parents of these children are the clients...and this teacher obviously is failing to do what she needs to do: which is encourage and help her students to grow in their education. Especially if this is an ongoing issue, she should be fired.

The teacher is 100% wrong. I had an elementary school teacher mock me for not getting long division quick enough. It really impacted my ability to learn new math concepts after that. Even as an adult I’m constantly second guessing myself with basic things like totaling a grocery list. 😕

I was absolutely terrible at math in school. I remember doing those sheets but for multiplication, they was timed and you was basically racing against the whole class to see who could get the most correctly answered which only made the anxiety of the whole thing 10 times worse. If you a teacher sees a child struggling they should help them not call them pathetic. Disgusting.

Yup fire this prick. I don’t know a parent that wouldn’t be mad about this being written on their child’s work. And if you don’t think that kid was probably devastated that his teacher thinks he’s pathetic, I guarantee this will be something that sticks in his mind for a long time and probably destroyed his self esteem. This teachers teaching is pathetic

SO wrong. Still to this day I remember every single mean thing teachers said/did to me AND other people. It is caring. Children are there to learn not be called names and ridiculed. I’d be getting that “teacher” fired.
