Any FTmoms freaking out?!

This may sound weird but I’ve always wanted children but over that years I’ve had numerous miscarriages, 3 failed IVF’s, and have never made it this far in a pregnancy (18w4d). I had an OB appointment yesterday and everything went well heard heartbeat and I have an anatomy scan next week. 
Is this finally it?! Am I actually going to be a mom this time?! I’m excited but still so very nervous. 
I’m also the “baby” of my family and never really been around children so I’m super nervous- will being a mom just kick in when my baby comes? I don’t feel like I have a connection yet and just worried.
Any advice or stories much appreciated 💕

I don’t have any baby’s in my family and as a first time mom I didn’t feel like I knew what I was doing at all. I loved being pregnant but I didn’t have an instant connection when she was born; I had a natural birth, no epidural so maybe because I was in pain I didn’t get that connection right away. But after a week or so at home I felt it and it will never go away. You will be fine and you’ll be a great mom. Get yourself a mom tribe and take classes on newborn care. It will all workout and always take care of yourself!

Don't worry if you don't feel connected yet. For a lot of women it doesn't happen until baby is born. Congrats!

You may not have a connection as you’ve lost the other pregnancies and youre trying to protect yourself. Like don’t want to fall in love only to loose them. When you have Bub in your arms you’ll fall inlove. I wouldn’t say mum instincts kick-in. It can be trial and error, reading and educating yourself on babies. You’ll be fine.
