What’s your plan for when to have visitors?

I mean anyone besides just you, partner, and baby. Is your mom in the waiting room? Are you telling people it’s time? Are you waiting until you get home? 
In my IDEAL world I would wait to see ANYONE besides me, baby, and hubby until we have been home for a few days. I want to figure out what I’m doing first. But it has been hard enough to convince my husband that I don’t want any family in the waiting room. He is sooooo close with his family and doesn’t really understand not wanting everyone to come visit a bunch. He’s supportive of setting up boundaries for how long people can be here, but I don’t think he would want to wait several days to let people come over.

Ya my husband is similar. Depending on when the baby comes and how long of a labor it is, we’ll decide when we might be ready for hospital visitors. No one in the waiting room, I’ve already told everyone that much. My thinking is that if they have to come, I’d prefer they come towards the end of my hospital stay vs my home right after we leave the hospital. At least you aren’t “hosting” at a hospital and people don’t feel as comfortable staying for a long time in a hospital room. And hopefully they get their fix enough to leave us be at home for the next couple days if that’s what we’d like.

I have just said no visitors until I call. I don’t believe I want anyone stopping by the hospital at all but will play it by ear.. who knows maybe I’ll feel great and be excited to show off my baby right away but I figured it was easier to just say no from the get go so I didn’t feel pressured.

Probably weeks later as this is what my hospital advises unless we really want people earlier. We dont have any local family. I want to prioritise my baby’s needs and bonding as well as my recovery and mental health as thats what’s important so I think leaving it a little while will be best :) x

I don’t mind if people visit in the hospital but after I get my shoes together. None of this “right after pushing a baby out” nonsense for me. I need at least a shower first! The only exception is my mom who i want in the room to hold my hand during birth.

I'm having a planned csection. Everyone when baby will be born. My SO will let family know shes okay. We wont be having any visitors until 5 PM that gives us 4 hours with the baby.

My husband doesn’t really have any family so none of his family will be in the waiting room. I’m having my mom and my husband in the delivery room with me and hopefully my sister if they allow that many. Anyone is welcome to wait in the waiting room until after my son is born. Then they can come visit after I get my hour of skin to skin and feel like I’m ready for visitors.

This time is going to be so different for us as I don’t want anyone coming round fussing over baby while my son is here as I want him to get used to having a baby brother or sister first and not feel left out! I have told everyone this but I just know that there are a few that won’t listen and come anyway! Well they won’t be getting through the door lol x

Family can come if they want in hospital but later, then anyone else when we get home. Only there 2 days not even. Lol plus no one has really ever came to visit in the hospital. This is my 3rd.

Planning to have our parents come to the hospital and then leave when we get home. No visitors other than our siblings visiting for a few hours in the days after we get home.

We don’t allow visitors at all in the hospital except my mother and our other children and same goes for when we are home . Not for a while atleast ....
