My Husband is a gamer...

I’ve been with my Husband for about 7 years now, (married 6mo.) and he has always played video games throughout our relationship. I’ve never really had an issue until now. Don’t get me wrong my husband is a very hard worker (works well over 40+ a week) and is very caring of me, makes sure I’m okay above all but I’ve noticed he will play that game for hours. On weekdays we’ll get home , talk about our day, eat dinner and then he’ll hop on the game for about 2hrs. On weekends , especially when we have nothing to do , he plays for up to 14hrs. All his other friends are single or still living at home and I feel like the gaming is taking away valuable time from us. Recently we’ve been searching for a house and my realtor calls and tells me my husband’s credit needs some work, I was confused but then my husband admit he ran up his credit card buying fortnite skins and packages!!! To say the least I was extremely upset. Especially because I’m the one who usually takes care of important paperwork and bills. This morning in the car I told him “YOU’RE going to figure out how to raise your credit score , YOU’RE going to figure out what you need to pay off.” He looked really stone walled when I told him but I just feel like I’m the only one that ever gets the real important stuff done. I’m the one who makes sure our bills are paid on time , I’m the one who looks over paperwork, ugh it’s driving me crazy. Now I feel even more inclined to let him do stuff on his own because of this. I mean come on over $400 on a GAME?! I understand if we we’re still up at moms house chillin, not paying any other bills (like his friends) but we’re in the process of a huge new chapter in our lives. I feel like a mom, but I think I’m going to ask him to lay off the game up until we get everything done on the closing of our new home and he learns how to be more responsible with his cards... idk what do you all suggest?
