What do you guys think about Gender Creative?

I've been looking into this new thing called gender creative. I'm still learning about it so i don't know everything but it seems pretty simple but i also see alot parents thing this parenting style is CRAZY. I believe it's a unique way to raise your little one but way to complicated for me being that my babies are to old to try and change the way i parent i think will throw all of us off a bit I also believe it has its pros and cons to it. For those who aren't aware of gender creative, it's when a parent doesn't assign a gender to they're child and refer to them with pronouns "them or they". What i like about the parenting style is that if you had no idea what gender a child we wouldn't restrict them from things like "boy toys, girl toys, boy colors, girl colors, boy activities, girl activities, ect". My biggest thing as a mom is that my son has very long and curly hair and I'm always told your son looks like a girl or long hair is only for girls which i think is ridiculous and always just give a nod and go on with my day. 
So I'm just wondering how many mom would actually be open to this parenting style?

I think it’s kind of silly to not refer to a child as a boy or a girl. I think some people try to be way too PC sometimes. I plan on raising my son without gender barriers. If he wants “girly” things so be it. I just don’t see why people have to label parenting styles. It just seems to be for attention sometimes. That may be an unpopular opinion but 🤷‍♀️

I dont think calling the child by nuetral terms is necessarily needed. Teaching them to accept people of all races, religions, genders, sexualities and backgrounds yeah. I am going to raise my children as a boy and a girl as they were born one with a vagina one will have a penis. Now if later one wants to live as the opposite thats their choice. I am not going to give them the option to "choose" if they think they are a binary blah blah blah. However I dont plan to tell my daughter she can only have girl toys or my son he cant play with dolls. Boys will become fathers too so why not allow dolls? My stepdaughter is 17 and her mother encourages this "choose your gender be who you are deal" my stepdaughter announced on facebook the other day she now identified as a binary entity of no gender like a tree. I am sorry but that to me is a mental illness. You can have any manner of sexual orientation or such but you can not just decide one day to identify as a tree or something you are not. I get transgender or hermaphrodites have hard lives in identifying as one thing or another but I do not encourage my daughter to think that just because ahe likes her mario plushies she is a boy or because she likes blue or anything typically "male". It's just not anything I would ever be ok with.

I have a daughter, she was born female. She has just as many ‘boys toys’ and she does ‘girls toys’. I’m not going to stop say ‘her’ or ‘she’ and unnecessarily cause confusion just in case she decide later in life that she’s a boy. 
And I think she would cop a lot more discrimination and bullying if she were ‘genderless’ by her parents choice, than if she were trans

Not into it. I'm all for the idea of not restricting toys or anything, cause our baby girl will have dolls and dresses as well as diggers and cars and typically boy toys, I dont care about gendered products and such. But I think it's too confusing to a child to not be assigned a gender. Like even if they're transgender, surely they need to be given one to know if that's them or not?

Nope. I am completely on board with not forcing children into gender stereotypes. If my child ever said they felt like a different gender then I'm going to roll with it 100%. They're my baby and I'm going to love them no matter what, but this is too far. In my opinion it's creating unnecessary confusion. Why can't we just teach children about gender and sex and instead be accepting if they choose to change that?

I think this is bizarre. I’m going to call my daughter a girl. She plays with whatever toys she wants.  Dolls, cars, blocks, trains, whatever. She has neutral cloths, girly cloths, boyish cloths. It doesn’t matter. She can be who she wants when she’s old enough to figure it out for herself. 
I work in the animal field and we’ve had clients that refer to their pets as they or them since they don’t want to assign a gender. It’s crazy. It’s a dog and it’s not capable of that kind of thinking.
 
I’d like to go back in time where there was no internet or cell phones and life seemed a little more simple. Now people overthink everything

I wouldn't use gender neutral pronouns as my default.
However, I do believe in letting kids choose what interests them whether it's a "girl" thing or "boy" thing. If my daughter is in to cars and superheroes, I'll get her those toys. If she likes princesses and unicorns, she can play with those things. If my boy wants to paint his nails, sure.

I birthed a male child. Later on, if he tells me he identifies as something else, that is more than ok. I will fully support whatever he needs to be in life.
But for now, he is a boy. We call him a boy. We dress him in a lot if gender neutral stuff, but he also has a lot of “boy clothes” too. However, I personally cannot stand the thought of gender restrictive colors. Boys wanna wear pink? Girls wanna wear green? Fantastic. It’s a color that’s appealing to their eyes. They can wear it.
Earlier we were at Walmart and some employee started cooing over my son. He had on one pink scratch mitten and one yellow one. The pink one was visible from the angle I was holding him at. She referred to him as a girl, and I told her he’s a boy. She said “Oh, oops, I just saw the pink mitten and assumed.” That shit 👏🏼  drives 👏🏼 me 👏🏼 wild 👏🏼

Too extreme for me. I will support my child no matter who he wants to be or what gender he wants to be but we do call him a HE. I think it’s too confusing for a child to not have any sort of identity and really just asking to be made fun of when he goes to school. Are you gonna tell the teacher to call your kid they/them? Then all the kids are gonna be wondering why he or she is called that. To me the they/them is almost the equivalent of an “it” 🤷🏻‍♀️ but if what ppl say is true, that kids will be transgender no matter how they are raised, etc, then it should come out either way. I will love and accept my child no matter what, but I will not make things for confusing for him at an early age. Just my opinion.
