When are you due? I'm NOT!

I've just had another failed IVF, like, a week ago.

I was in the store, wearing a loose top, and sporting the good ol' "endo belly", I guess, and some woman stopped me and asked how far along I was, and if my OTHER CHILDREN were excited to have another sibling.

I just burst into tears, right there, and said I don't have children and I'm not pregnant!

Her apology?? "Oh, I'm sorry, you just LOOK like a mom".

Gee, thanks.

That's horrible! Sorry you had to go through that. I was asked at the LAST baby shower I will be attending for awhile...

Ugh! This question is never ok. Even if a woman is pregnant, it's none of your business! Sorry you experienced this, it happened to me after my miscarriage too from several women!

One of our clients saw me outside of work and said 'oh I didn't know you were having a baby' - I said 'I'm not, I had a miscarriage a few months ago'. I spent the rest of the afternoon crying xxx

I am so sorry. That happened to me last year. I had literally just miscarried the week before (I'm a teacher) and a previous parent came up to me and said "Oh, you're pregnant!!" I was caught so off guard that I blurted out "Not anymore, I lost the pregnancy last week." I was devastated.

Why are people still stupid enough to ask that question!? I don't care if a woman looks 8 months pregnant. Unless she says she is pregnant, I don't say a thing. I have a friend with PCOS who has a belly due to PCOS. She deals with this issue WAY too often.
