Cramping on one side?

I’m 35 weeks tomorrow and last night I had the worst pain on my left side of my stomach and it shot around my back, no Braxton Hicks just that. It was so bad I jumped out of my sleep because the pain. Ever since then I keep having these terrible pains on my left hip area where they come and go really fast. I’m a FTM so I’m just confused because I didn’t have a contraction with it
