Background we have a 2 year old and an 8 month old

He graduates from the police academy in 2 weeks and we had a conversation somewhat like this...he said,I'm being serious babe I promise I'll do everything in my power to come back to yall everyday but if something happens,please find it in your strength to move on and find someone else,the kids need a father figure..

I cried and said please dont make me open the door to a detective telling me the news that you're gone.. he was I'll try my best not to babe but I want you to know I'm telling you itll be okay for you to move on..

I lost my dad in 2013 and this is my biggest fear is that I'll lose my husband and my kids will grow up without their dad..

Yes I knew what I was getting myself into,my husband is an army vet..but still the fact that we had this conversation..
