Short and sweet labor (with a little bit of scary thrown in)!

An

Our little fuzzy chunker was born last week at almost 9lb and 22in. I was in labor for a total of 6 hours and pushed for about 25min, which after being in labor for 18hrs with #1 was such a relief!

I went in at 39w on the day for a elective induction and they started the pitocin at 7:15am. I was already having contractions about 10 minutes apart and had been dilated at 4cm, 50% effaced for about 2 weeks. We were very, very ready lol.

I got the epidural around 9:00am and by 11:00am I was already at 7cm and nearly all the way effaced when little man's heart rate plunged into the 70/80bpm range and our nurses started to panic a bit.

I was immediately put on oxygen and the team was on stand-by for a emergency c-section if I couldn't dialate to the full 10cm in time.

I finally dialated fully and they had me start pushing pretty much right at noon.

3 sets of pushes later and he was born at 12:23pm with his cord around his neck but perfectly healthy and crying away!

Not a single tear or abrasion which I couldn't believe, being our first was only 6lb and I needed 7 stitches.

Our rainbow baby delivery could not have been more perfect; I'll miss being pregnant but so in love with our whole family ❤
