Is it OK to ask for an increase

I am getting quite a low per hour rate. It was a rate that was agreed on in June last year, for various reasons.

However, my job title has since changed and the work I'm doing is a lot more complicated than what I was initially hired to do. I'm also spending my own money driving around and sometimes use my own cellphone for calls too.

I've also found out that everyone is having their internet paid for, except me (and I even increased my internet speed at a higher cost to me for better VOIP phone quality).

I've been caught in situations before, where I do work someone else would be paid a lot more for, just to prove I'm a decent employee and it just keeps biting me in the ass.

Is it OK to ask for an increase, or is that tacky?
