help me please

hey, i’m 14 and i has a few questions i hoped someone could answer for me ! i’m pretty sure i have a yeast infection and i wanted to go to the doctor for it. i heard they exam down there and i wanted to know what do i do if the exam ends up on my period ? also , my symptoms are burning and itching in my vagina but i feel awkward saying all that in front of a doctor and my mom so how should i word it? i’m 14 and would rally appreciate someone’s help 💘
