Has anyone dated someone from the army?

Hey guys!

So I just started getting back into the whole dating scene, I met this guy off Facebook incredibly good looking couple years older then me. We got too talking & hit it off, he’s divorced that’s the first thing I noticed on Facebook & second he has a daughter (which nothing is wrong with that). He is 1,141 miles away from me, we talk everyday & I like him. So, I don’t know much about the army or anything of that sort. But there’s days where I won’t hear from him for hours until night time, I noticed him & his ex wife are still close. (They are for sure divorced) but I’m kinda scared because I’m catching feelings & im not sure how it’ll work or if long distance will work for me. I asked him how he thought this was going between us he said he liked it, he liked having someone to talk too, he said he liked me. He then asked me the same question & I told him it was a new feeling but I liked it he asked me if I was having any doubts. He said, “idk what you’re expecting out of me, I hope I don’t fail” which confused me in some sort. So overall I guess I’m just asking how is it dating/talking to someone in the army. Do they get to visit? Are you ever gonna see them? I’ve heard stories of guys asking girls to marry them after 2 month which I am definitely not ready for marriage lol.
