It's a hard journey, no matter what your diagnosis or months/years of trying. Fertility sucks! Period! It's a challenging time for couples, mentally, physically, emotionally and financially, no matter how strong a relationship you have, fertility takes a toll. We go through something that literally no one else besides those who have directly gone through it, can relate to! So often I've felt empowered of all that I've put my body through, and then in the same breathe, so often I've felt like a failure.

I've often thought, yes I'm 1 in 8 and I need to create awareness; open broken communication systems, ideas and opinions about infertility. I NEED to speak for those who are just unable to speak for themselves at that point in time.

In light of #FertilityAwarenessWeek, I'd love nothing more than to share my story, journey, heartbreaks, truths, combat myths.. yet I just cannot find myself opening up to the public, my friends and family.. does this ever get easier?! What is holding me back...
