I have a question

So last week I was in the hospital because I was having problems. They checked me after they swabbed me down there and it was the worse when they checked my cervix she said I kno why we couldn’t find ur cervix it’s in front of the baby and not in the back. I been contracting every 2-3 mins because I have Gestational Diabetes and I’m 34 weeks and my body thinks it full term.....my question is where’s the correct place for the cervix while being pregnant
