I am in a parking lot sitting in my truck eating when a car pull up next to me a lady got out of her car and opened the back door (very fast and hard) she opened it right into the side of my truck it shook my whole truck. She immediately covered her mouth and had a look of shock clearly acknowledging what she just did. She then closed the door and hurried to get back in her car to drive away not realizing I was in the truck . (I literally just got a new $3000 paint job 2 weeks ago).

I get out and there is a huge scrape about a foot long and a inch wide. I tell her she just scratched my truck and she denies it saying no she didn’t and that was already there. ( I knew it wasn’t there because I just got my truck painted and there wasn’t a scratch on it) She then pretends she doesn’t speak English and keeps calling me a gringo to the other person in the car. And yelling at me in Spanish pretending like they don’t know English even though they were just speaking it earlier.

I took a picture of their license plate and the scratches because at this point I am pissed off at this person for denying it and yelling and calling me names. I ask the lady for her insurance information and she refuses to give it to me.

I call the police station and they tell me they don’t come for parking lot accidents.

She then drives away and yells “bitch” out her window as she drives away.

I am pissed should I call the police and report it ?

Edit- I did call the police before she left and they told me they don’t come for parking lot incidents. But now since she drove away would that be different if I go into the police station to report her? I do have the make of the car and license plate and a picture of the car
