Twins?

Hi! After 3 years of fertility treatments, we finally found out we’re expecting!!! As of Monday I was measuring 5 weeks and 2 days. We did transfer two embryos and wondering what the chances are of seeing twins after this point? Meaning if we could only see one in the first ultrasound, are we safe to say we shouldn’t expect to see twins moving forward ? Thanks in advance !

Yeeeey am excited for you , am in my 4 weeks 2days but I transferred  4 embryos and the doc told me to come back in 3 weeks so he can tell how many babies am gonna have .
I canttttt wait .. I really know how you feel 😍😍😍 I wish for twins too

I didn’t have an ultrasound at 5 weeks, but at my first ultrasound after IVF at 7 weeks we could very clearly see twins.

Congratulations! If they did a vaginal ultrasound then probably they would be able to see if there were two sacks. However, you are still very early, and it has been known to happen where one wasn't apparent the first time. My RE waits until 6 weeks or after, and we easily saw two sacks and two babies with heartbeats at our first ultrasound this last time with the vaginal ultrasound.

Congrats! In my first US at 5wks we saw a singleton and at 7 weeks we saw MoMo twins.
