I have...Costochondritis
I went to the doctor on Tuesday for chest pain and turns out, I have costochondritis (tendinitis in the Chest). Well, today (Thursday 4/25) has been two weeks since the pain started. I continued to exercise with this pain for 10-11 days. Doctor mandated that I have to discontinue any weightlifting or strenuous exercise for at least a week (but will be resting until I’m fully recovered). Doctor said I could still be active by walking or jogging as long as I’m not in pain. I haven’t attempted to do much because ibuprofen and Tylenol isn’t helping much with pain. Do any of you have some recommended upper body exercises to do after I am able to begin weightlifting again? I do not want to encounter this situation again. I love being active and healthy so I’m kinda bummed out. Any advice given is very much appreciated!
PS- I’m still in high school, but exercise helps me cope with anxiety and depression... so it means a lot to me.
