HSG Testing

This test has been a NIGHTMARE for me especially scheduling it. I had to fight for 3 months to schedule it and finally got the appointment. I went to my appointment on January 2019 only for the doctor to fail. It took 2 hours for him to be like “yeah, I can’t find your cervix..!!” Mind you, I tried to explain to him that I’m somewhat of a medical anomaly when it comes to some tests and machines.. fine. That’s over and done with.

My doctor gave me a referral for a place that charges $600 (can’t afford it).. I found a location that charges $235 and the tech there LISTENED to me and the things I had to tell her about MY body..!! WOOHOO..!! She said that it pays to listen as it’ll make her job easier. I went to see her on Monday and it took her approx 1.5 hour to realize that she couldn’t find my cervix opening either. She also had help. She said “go home/work and relax. I’m a stubborn woman and I want to do this test for you.. I’ll give you a call after I speak with my distributor for a different speculum..!!”

She called me back and we rescheduled for Wednesday.. I didn’t have to pay again and it took her and her colleague 45 mins to find the opening of my cervix. I almost cried and the test was completed. YAY..!! Afterward she gave me a hug and said “no sex tonight, but please in the following days go buck wild with your husband cause you’re fully open and good luck with getting pregnant..!!”
