Ectopic beat???

So I saw a midwife this morning because I have developed severe swelling, a headache with blurry vision, and feeling unwell. Turns out my blood pressure 163/98 so I got sent into hospital. Since being here they have also picked up an Ectopic heartbeat with baby....anyone else got any experience with this?

Is she planning on inducing you? Your BP is definitely high! Also, ectopic heartbeats can be from tons of things, and it’s not always a cause for concern! Maybe have her explain if it’s an added or skipped beat, that should help you start to understand better.

How far along are you? With BP like that they will probably want to get baby out if you are far enough along. If you are still 34-35 weeks they might try and hold off and just get BP down. Even if your labs come back and you don’t have preeclampsia, high BP is reason enough to get baby out. 
But the more you stress about that and the ectopic beat the harder it will be to get the BP down. Try and lay down and rest if you can.
