What am I feeling 😭

I’m 37 weeks & 4 days pregnant, and this is my first pregnancy so forgive the dumb question.... just trying to figure out what’s happening and google nor my doctor are really helping. For the last few days I have been feeling really sharp pains very low in my stomach, almost around my vagina. They’re random, and sometimes last a few seconds and sometimes up to a minute but never more than that. My belly feels tighter and more firm when they happen but not rock hard like my doctor said that it would when I would have a contraction. Occasionally I can’t talk when it happens, but not always. I’m not sure the pain that I am feeling, are they Braxton Hicks or just random pregnancy pains!???
