We have an event with family later this week. My MIL had originally told us it started at 6:30 & I assumed it was in town. Well she just texted that it’s at 5:30 & about 30 minutes away. 🤦🏻‍♀️(they never give us accurate info). So my babysitter was supposed to come at 6, but I just texted to see if she could come at 4:45. She said she’d have to see if she could take off work that day(which she has since told me she can). I told her she didn’t have to take off work, we could figure something else out, but she said it was no big deal.... she offered and said it was fine but I’m still feeling guilty she’s missing out of a days work (idk if it was a few hour shift or all day, etc) . My question is would you pay her extra, because of this? Obviously I’m paying her for the whole time she’s here, but extra on top of that? We’ll probably be home about 8:30, so it’ll be about 4 hours total.
