When is the best time?

Hubby & I want to announce our pregnancy publicly but are unsure of when would be the “right” time. We don’t want to keep it a secret but we also want to get me to a-for lack of better word- “safe” spot in my pregnancy.

I told those I would want as a support system immediately. Everyone else, we told just before 12 weeks. I wanted to have had one good ultrasound and also the results of my genetic screening since I’m older and higher risk. I didn’t personally feel that the difference in miscarriage rates between 12 and 14 weeks was significant enough to need to wait for the second trimester.

Tell them when you are ready. There is no time limit.

I tell close family pretty much ASAP. Then once I have the 12 week ultrasound I feel comfortable telling friends and extended family. 
I don’t know about social media timeframe, because I don’t put pregnancy/kids on there.
