Anybody a stay at home FTM? What do you do?

Question

I’m so bored during the day- I clean and do laundry walk my dog and Netflix all day. My husband has been doing overtime to prepare for the baby. I’m sooooo bored and he just tells me to relax. Well I’m tired of sleeping and I’m sure it will change when the baby comes but what do I do in the meantime?

I became a SAHM when I was about 16 weeks pregnant with my twins seven years ago. I was SOOO bored at first. I ended up putting together a really cool pregnancy calendar keepsake for the babies and started baby books for their first year. Kept me busy and inside (I was on bed rest). Once they were born I was no longer bored 🤪🤣 I’ve been home with them ever since and really love it. They started kindergarten last August and we found out we were expecting again in November. Starting all over again! 😨🤪

I’m not a ftm but if I was I think I would take some art classes and go to the gym every day. I would hate staying at home watching tv all day.

Before my baby, I would go hiking around nearby trails, bike riding, I would go to the gym every day either to lift or to classes, and I would craft/paint:)
Now that I have baby, we go to the library, hiking, parks, play places, we go to lunch or just explore around our neighborhood outside collecting rocks/sticks haha. I was always working before kids so it was hard at first but I’m used to it now. Going outside helps a ton!

I know it’s going to be way different after baby is actually here, but I’m worried about this too... I currently work now, but not going back after the baby is born and I’m so worried I’m going to go crazy

Enjoy your sleep and do everything you could do without a child around bc those days are gonna be long gone and just a memory of what it was like before the baby came, Lol. I was a first time mom and stay and home mom, I felt the same way. But in hindsight, being pregnant with my second child right now, I sure don’t get anytime to sleep or binge watch anything. When your Baby comes, and grows fast, you will never have time for yourself bc you will automatically put yourself last (motherly instinct), go to the movies, get pampered, read a book, enjoy quiet time... you’re life is gonna change in a good way, but it just won’t be like it is without any kids around, and if you do get those breaks from your baby or toddler you will miss them like crazy, lol.

I stopped working when I found out I was pregnant and I’ve been bored ever since! I have sciatic pain from how she is positioned so I can’t get out of the house and do stuff like I want! I spend most of my time organizing the nursery or just cleaning in general. I’ve gotten so bored that I  alphabetized all our movies and books!

I'm on a budget so I do free things in my community as well as pursue my hobbies. Library events, festivals, etc. I also started meal planning and actually cooking the things I pin on Pinterest, not just collecting them and so I'm learning new cooking skills and my husband loves it. This takes up a lot of my time.

I'm in the same boat but I'm also on restrictions so I can't physically do much either. 😕 I have horses, so although I can't ride I do go out and spend time brushing them. I also have dogs so walking them is another thing but only for short periods of time (restrictions again🤦‍♀️). Other than that, laundry/cleaning and lounging around is my daily routine.

I haven’t worked since becoming pregnant (super sick in the beginning, ended up miscarrying, got pregnant again not long after) and I’m so glad I’m not the only one! I’m so used to being a busy body that having so much free time really drove me crazy till recently.  I’m almost 37 weeks now and too tired/ in pain to do anything lol 
Anyways!  To answer your question, I have 2 Etsy shops and a YouTube channel that take up my time!  If you’re artistic or have anything to sell I would highly recommend starting an Etsy!  It’s really easy and the extra money is always nice.  If you don’t want to make something yourself, you can always buy and resell other items like clothes or anything else you have some knowledge or interest in.
