so my mom is primarily throwing my baby shower, along with an aunt and SIL. My mom tends to be very controlling though and i already had to tell her to make sure my SIL is included in PLANNING the shower, not just assigned tasks to complete.

i have sent my mom a couple shower ideas on pinterest of games or invitations/themes i think are cute. we were discussing food the other day and i brought up the pinterest ideas since she didnt mention them. she said and i quote “you dont need to worry about the shower but i want to make sure you like the food.”

am i being too sensitive since i was offended by this? this is my first baby and im very much looking forward to the shower and was just trying to give her some direction. i feel like this is PTSD to my wedding when she tried to make it all about her. I feel like she is throwing this party based on what she wants and not taking into consideration what i want. backstory- she already spread my baby news against my wishes to friends and family before i got the chance to.

Am i wrong for wanting to give input on a theme/games/favors for my own shower?? Anyone going through something similar??
