Membrane sweep?

I am thinking about asking for one at the next appointment! How did it go for you? Did it work? Does it hurt? Really any advice or experiences!?!?

I had one just past 41 weeks. Contractions started about 12 hours later. I personally wouldn’t get one any earlier. They don’t always work and I’d prefer to be past my due date so it has a higher chance of working.

It hurts a little but it's only a short period. Bring a pad because there is a chance you will start bleeding.

I had my first one at 39 weeks +1 day because my family was visiting us (were stationed 2k miles away) and I wanted baby here by the time they got here. It’s a 50/50 chance they say but 12 hours later I was in labor.

I got that done and it didn’t hurt, it was just a little uncomfortable. I had my appointment at 9am, got the sweep, went home and slept and my water broke that night at 7:30pm.

I had one, I was also already 5
80 effaced and 2 cm dialated when I had the sweep and 39 weeks preggers.
I went into labour 2 days later, it's of course different for everyone, some it will work for and some it won't.
