Super fussy all of a sudden?

Question

My lo is 10 weeks old. Starting today he’s been super fussy. My mil came over to help
Me today so I could do some work and he was inconsolable with her. He is overly tired and would fall asleep when I nursed him or held him but would wake up and fuss as soon as I put him
Down or passed him off. He always sleeps well in his crib and won’t let me put him down now either. He’s sleeping in my chest and will wake up from a dead sleep screaming. I’m calling doctor in am but any thoughts?

I had my LO do the same thing. In my case, it passed. It’s like a phase he went through and I as well took him to his pediatrician. He didn’t have any fever, showed no sign of being sick- so she said to do what we do best; give them attention and if they want to be held, then for us to hold them.

We went through the same thing around that age.  She was randomly so fussy and wouldn’t go to anyone but me.  When I read up about the signs of developmental leap 2 it was almost exactly what we were going through.  And when she was done with the “leap” she was back to being a happy baby that would go to anyone.
