For those Mamas who went back to work how did you feel your first day back?

All I keep doing is looking at my little one and tearing up. I’m hating going back to work. I go back Monday. I’m hoping after I finish my 4 weeks that I’ll get into working from home. But until then. I don’t want to 😤

I cried every single day. I had her webcam pulled up at all times, just so I could even get a glimpse of her getting her diaper changed from the nanny. I literally went to work for four weeks then quit. I've been home ever since. She's two years old now and I just had my second daughter nine weeks ago. It was never the plan to quit, but I couldn't stand the thought of not raising my child every day, and not nursing for ever feeding, not picking out her outfit for the day.... literally everything!

Literally sobbed the whole drive there and the first half hour there...and every time I pumped. It was AWFUL. But, it did get better with time. I still tear up when I leave but I don’t sob anymore! You can do it!

I had no problem dropping her off at daycare.  She goes to daycare at my husband’s Aunt’s house so that’s probably why. I was anxious to get back to work. I love my daughter to death, but staying inside all day with a colicky infant was wearing on me & I needed adult interaction again.

I go back Monday too. Only half days but I’m still very anxious

I go back full time tomorrow and I’m already trying to figure out a way to tell my boss I want to cut back to part time. It’s just too hard to be away from my baby girl!!!

I go back the 13th. While I love my kids and will miss our time off together, I am ready to feel like a productive adult again. I love my career and couldn’t imagine giving it up especially as hard as I’ve worked to get where I’m at. I am also less anxious about daycare because my baby boy will have his big brother by his side. My first son has done very well at his daycare and he has thrived with interactions with kids his age I have no doubt my baby boy will do the same :)
